Walmart checking workers temperature before shifts

In an effort to stem the ongoing and expanding COVID-19 pandemic, Walmart is taking workers’ temperatures at stores and warehouses. Anyone with a temperature of 100 degrees or higher will not be allowed to work, according to a CNN report, but will still be paid.

The mega retailer, considered an essential service given its grocery and pharmacy divisions, has remained open through the coronavirus pandemic. It will be providing masks and gloves for workers who request them, according to the report.

The retail giant employs 1.5 million workers in its 4,700 U.S. locations.
