In light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic Wegmans has begun reducing consumer occupancy and limiting how many customers can be in a store at a given time.
The move is to ensure the safety and protection to both staff and shoppers, according to a 13WHAM report.
The grocer said its stores are running at 15% to 20% of total occupancy, according to the report. Prior to the customer limit move the brand also closed in-store market cafés and some Burger Bars. It is also doing wellness employee checks.
