Employee Spotlight: Will Andrews
I spoke with Project Manager, Will Andrews, about his role here at STORIS as well as his personal interests and hobbies. Will revealed some secrets about himself that many of us at STORIS didn’t already know. See his responses below.
Official Title: Project Manager
What do you do in your position on a daily basis? : The majority of my day is spent managing multiple enterprise-level consulting service projects I am working on and ensuring they stay on time and on budget to be successful. These projects are either new client software implementations or revision 9 software upgrades for long-time STORIS clients who are moving to our latest revision. The items I work on include planning the milestones/tasks for each project and who will be responsible for completing these tasks successfully. I also assess and manage changes associated with the project and constantly communicate with our clients and the other members of our STORIS project teams to ensure the project is kept on track. I travel relatively often to visit our clients for project work, live conversion support, and operational reviews.
What do you like most about working at STORIS? : My favorite part is enjoying the great working relationships I have forged with people at STORIS and the many clients I have the opportunity to work with on a daily basis.
If you were not in this field, what would you be? : I would own and operate a food truck.
Do you have any hobbies/hidden talents? : Cooking and experimenting with different recipes is one of my favorite hobbies. I also enjoy just about any outdoor sport or activity. Making wedding cakes and doing occasional ice carvings are two things most people don’t know I do.

Favorite food?: It’s a tie between Central Texas style barbeque and New England Clam Chowder.
What do you usually do when you aren’t working? : When not spending time with friends or family, I like to watch movies and catch up on the list of books I have wanted to read for some time. I also try to get to exercise as much as I can by hiking, running, or going to the gym.
Favorite place you’ve traveled to and why? : Bermuda is my favorite place to visit and relax. It does not take a very long time to get there and the beautiful beaches are like no other place I have been.
If you could have a superpower, what would it be & why? : I would definitely want the power to fly…no more layovers!
Favorite color? : Orange
Fun fact that many people may not know about you? : I am a CIA (Culinary Institute of America) graduate and worked as both a chef and pastry chef in my previous career. The restaurants I worked in were located in New York City as well in various other states on the East Coast. I still occasionally work in the kitchens of local restaurants run by friends of mine on weekends when they need additional help.
