Walmart piloting health centers as part of retail supercenter

Walmart Health is the latest retail initiative from the country’s biggest retailer and if two current pilot programs, both in Georgia, prove successful Walmart will expand it nationwide.

The Walmart Health is home to doctors providing routine checkups as well as medical treatment, lab work, x-rays, dental care, eye and hearing exams as well as behavioral health counseling, according to a CNN report.

Consumers without health care insurance are provided low-pay services, such as a dental exam for $25 and annual checkups for $30.
