Loves Furniture has acquired the inventory and assets of 27 stores under the Art Van Furniture, Levin Furniture and Wolf Furniture brands.
The stores, which are located in Michigan, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Illinois, Virginia and Maryland, will be re-branded as Loves Furniture.
Founded in 2020, Loves Furniture is headquartered in Royal Oak, MI and owned by US Assets, Inc. The company expects to add more than 1,000 new employees across the region. To expedite hiring efforts, it plans to conduct a “soft launch” of stores in the coming weeks and is exploring options to provide customers with discounted services and special product buys leading up to the official grand opening.

“Today’s acquisition of these locations across the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic regions represents a tremendous milestone for our company, our associates, and for the communities that we serve,” said Matthew Damiani, CEO of Loves Furniture. “We are thrilled to announce an exciting new retail option for customers in these markets who have been looking for a more modern shopping experience.”
AVF Holdings, which owned the Art Van Furniture, Levin Furniture and Wolf Furniture stores, announced in March it was going out of business. The first Art Van store opened in 1959 in Detroit.
