Amazon saw 4.06 billion unique visitors in March — more than eBay, Apple, Walmart, Samsung.com, Apple.com and Rakuten sites combined.

That’s the prime finding of data from Learnbonds.com.

In comparison eBay had 1.2 billion unique visitors and Walmart had 0.61 billion visitors, according to a press release on the data.

The spike in online traffic was due primarily to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic which has kept people home self-isolating to avoid spreading the virus.

Several retail industries experienced significant change with online consumer activity as well, including books, hobbies and leisure and health and pet interest.
