U-Haul has launched self-checkout technology, called U-Haul Scan & Go, at all of its U.S. and Canadian locations.
The app allows customers to scan and pay for moving and storage supplies while maintaining social distancing and avoiding checkout lines in U-Haul locations.
“We continue to transform our business to keep up with the latest customer trends and demands,” Sam Cocchi, U-Haul Retail sales program manager, said in a company release. “With U-Haul Truck Share 24/7 already offering customers access to U-Haul trucks at every hour through their smartphones, the opportunity for U-Haul Scan & Go to advance retail sales was an obvious next step.”
U-Haul has 22,000 locations in the U.S. and Canada.
