Bath & Body Works: Were an essential service in light of COVID-19

Beauty and bath retailers Bath & Body works want to reopen claiming it is an “essential” business as the COVID-19 virus outbreak continues to expand across the U.S.

The retailer, according to a New York Post report, has convinced Ohio lawmakers to approve the reopening of two stores in that state, where it is headquartered, by stating it will stock up on hand sanitizers and soap.

The retailer, as most retailers have done, shuttered stores in mid March due to the coronavirus. A week later the Ohio governor ordered all non-essential businesses to shut down.
