Wren Kitchens has been rated the best retail employer to work for in the UK for the second year running, according to data released by Indeed.
Wren, which manufactures kitchen units and has more than 4000 employees, scored consistently high marks with employees for its salary, benefits and culture to top the annual rankings.
One reviewer praised the company’s job advancement and its managers “who allow their teams to flourish”.
HMV, which fell into administration just over a year ago has rose among the rankings since it was bought by Canadian record store chain Sunrise Records in February 2019, finishing in fourth place.
Its culture and work-life balance were praised by staff in reviews.
New additions in this year’s Top Rated Retailers list included Whole Foods Market, Selfridges, The Perfume Shop, Sofology and The Body Shop.
John Lewis has continued drop down the table after coming top in 2018.
It fell to eighth in 2019, and has fallen further to 11th place this year.
